Join the collective voice of Canada's visual artists. Artists join CARFAC through their provincial affiliate, where applicable. Membership in CARFAC National is automatic when joining through a provincial affiliate organization. Additional services, programs, and projects are carried out by the provincial affiliate organizations.
In addition to supporting programs at the local level, your membership fees go towards ongoing advocacy for the status and wellbeing of all artists, including minimum fees for artists updated on an annual basis and evolving issues such as bringing the Artist’s Resale Right to Canada.
Why be a CARFAC SASK member?
Voting memberships are reserved for professional visual artists who reside in Saskatchewan. The full membership fee is an allowable business expense for artists.
Voting Members receive voting rights at both CARFAC SASK and CARFAC National’s Annual General Meetings.
All members receive 6 issues of CARFAC SASK’s newsletter annually as well as a monthly e-bulletin.
All members can access advisory services from staff, or be connected with free legal and financial advice.
All members receive free access to CARFAC’s ongoing Prairie Webinar Series.
All members have access to discounts at select art supply or other retailers, and more.

The International Artists Association defines a "professional artist" as one who:
earns a living through art making;
or possesses a diploma in an area considered to be within the domain of the fine arts;
or teaches art in a school of art or applied art;
or whose work is often seen by the public or is frequently or regularly exhibited;
or is recognized as an artist by consensus of opinion among professional artists.
